Celebrating the life and extraordinary work of J-Dilla 🍩🕊

In February we celebrate the life and work of the late and supremely great James Dewitt Yancey aka J-Dilla 🍩🕊

On reflection, some 16 years ago this month: this is the original tee that got me into the game. Hand drawn in pencil and then scanned and coloured in using a dodgy ripped version of Photoshop ;)

An officially sanctioned tribute design for the now legendary Doctor’s Orders Tribute Events (as anyone who was there will attest), which alongside event ticket sales went on to raise £7k for the J-Dilla Foundation and Lupus UK.

So a big thank you and shout out to anyone who’s worn the tee or spotted it out in the wild over the years - means a lot to be part of UK Dilla Tribute history x

Rest in power Jay Dee - we thank you for your music and legacy, now and always ✨🙏🏽❤️
