Rooted in an appreciation of A Tribe Called Quest’s second album ‘The Low End Theory’ - this design is a visual twist on the group’s trademark colours of Red, Black and Green applied to the branding of the iconic Krylon spray can.
As any graff writer will attest, the Krylon brand is synonymous with graffiti art and the old school circular logo, a nostalgic and iconic symbol of the NYC graffiti scene of the 1970s and 80s.
They say everything is a remix - be it in music through the culture of sampling and remixing or in visual art where you respond to an image as a jump off point for your own ideas and creative expression. With that said, here's my take with my own added flair ✨
